At 2,100 metres, where breathtaking views of the Sella Group meet the flavours of Ladin tradition, Rifugio Crepa Neigra is a mountain stop to savour with all your senses.

Some mountain lunches become part of the memory of a day in the Dolomites. At Rifugio Crepa Neigra, right at the mountain station of the Ciampac cable car, all it takes is a step onto the terrace to understand why: before you lies a spectacular view of the Sella Group and Piz Boè, Vernel and Crepa Neigra itself, the distinctive volcanic mountain that gives the refuge its name.

Its location is one of its greatest strengths. The cable car takes you straight up to the Ciampac, and once you arrive, the refuge is right on the right-hand side. It is therefore easy to reach even for non-skiers, making it the perfect place to take a break without giving up the beauty of the mountain scenery.

Here, Davide and his team welcome guests with local flavours and a rich gastronomic offering. The cuisine reflects the character of the area, with traditional Val di Fassa specialities taking centre stage. It is the kind of food that invites you to slow down and enjoy the moment, perhaps at a table on the large panoramic terrace.

And when the weather calls for an indoor lunch, the view is still part of the experience: just look out of the window and the great Dolomite peaks are right there in front of you. In summer, the refuge is also an ideal starting point for exploring Ciampac and its mountain trails, with panoramic walks leading through some of the most beautiful landscapes of Val di Fassa.
