Founded in 1951 as a simple mountain refreshment stop, it has preserved its authentic spirit over the years, growing into a place where family hospitality, good food and a love for nature come together.

Today, the Cemin family welcomes guests to this corner of the Dolomites with a warm and genuine approach that makes everyone feel immediately at home. Cant del Gal likes to describe itself as an Alpine Hideaway: a place somewhere between a hotel, a mountain lodge and a traditional inn, where an intimate atmosphere meets an extraordinary natural setting. Its rooms look out onto forests and Dolomite pinnacles, inviting guests to slow down and reconnect with the mountains.

But Cant del Gal is also, and above all, a place where sitting down at the table becomes an experience to savour.

Its cuisine begins with the roots of Trentino and Primiero traditions and reinterprets them with a contemporary touch. Local ingredients take centre stage: from regional cheeses and game from the surrounding forests to polenta made with ancient varieties of corn, Trentino cured meats, craft beers and aromatic grappas. Familiar recipes and traditional flavours are treated with care, while always remaining true to their origins.

Special attention is also given to products that tell the story of the area's biodiversity and gastronomic heritage, including specialities linked to Slow Food and the Ark of Taste. Among the local dairy products celebrated here are the Tosèla del Primiero, Trentingrana and mountain-made Botìro di Primiero.
