In the heart of Canazei, a small shop where the flavours of Val di Fassa meet one of the village’s most charming sights: the cuckoo clock.

There is a place in Canazei that is hard to miss. It is Casa del Cucù, located in the village’s central square, right beneath the distinctive clock that comes to life twice a day, at 11 am and 5 pm, with a little show that never fails to catch the attention of visitors, young and old.

But Casa del Cucù is more than just a curious landmark to admire while exploring the village centre. It is also a small food shop, where you can discover and taste some of the flavours that tell the story of the local area. On its shelves, you will find fresh and aged cheeses from the local dairies, including Puzzone di Moena DOP and Cher de Fascia, as well as speck and cured meats, jams, honey, Trentino wines and grappas, traditional sweets and small souvenirs.

It is a place where discovery begins with taste: step inside to find something special to take home, ask for advice on the local specialities or stop for a tasting, enjoying cheeses and cured meats accompanied by a good glass of wine.

And then there is the cuckoo clock itself. All you have to do is choose the right moment and wait for the clock to come alive: at 11 am and 5 pm, the house becomes a little stage for a few minutes, adding a curious and almost storybook touch to this special corner of Canazei.
