Terre Altre
Cultivating the land can mean much more than producing.
Cultivating the land can mean much more than producing. It can mean building relationships, caring for people, protecting biodiversity and rediscovering a more authentic way of connecting with nature. This is the idea at the heart of Terre Altre.
In the heart of Val di Fiemme, Terre Altre is a social agricultural cooperative that has placed the land at the centre of a project bringing together agriculture, inclusion, education and wellbeing.
Here, cultivation is above all about cultivating connections. Plants, fields, forests and meadows become tools for building relationships, creating opportunities and fostering wellbeing. It is a place that is both an educational and social farm and an oasis of natural and human biodiversity.
Nature is at the heart of everyday work. Plants are cultivated with care, respect and attention to natural rhythms, alongside wild species that grow naturally in the forests and meadows of Val di Fiemme. This precious natural heritage is carefully harvested and transformed, turning what the land provides into products that capture the scents and character of the local environment.
From this meeting of cultivation, knowledge and tradition comes a varied range of products: natural cosmetics, herbal products, food supplements, honey, syrups, sauerkraut and jams. Each product carries with it a part of the cooperative's work and of the territory from which its ingredients come.
But Terre Altre is also a place to visit, experience and discover. Its educational farm activities offer an opportunity to learn about plants, agriculture and biodiversity, to recognise the species that grow around us and to understand the value of the land as a heritage worth protecting.
This is the true heart of the project: bringing people closer to nature and to one another through simple, tangible everyday activities. Sowing, cultivating, harvesting, transforming and sharing become part of a wider journey, in which working the land becomes an opportunity for growth and participation.
Terre Altre is a land that produces much more than products: it creates opportunities, relationships and wellbeing. An agricultural and social project deeply rooted in Val di Fiemme, looking at nature as a resource to discover, respect and share.
